My Platform
Housing is a Human Right
Merced is facing a housing crisis with working families, yours and mine, unable to afford rent or purchase their first home.
I will fight for Rent Control, Tenant Protections, and Inclusionary Zoning to create more affordable housing for youth, families, and seniors.
Investing in Youth
Potential is universal but opportunities are not. Prosperity and hope for Merced requires that we give our youth quality education, career pathways and job training for them to thrive.
I will fight for a Youth Jobs Program and policies that prioritize resources for youth to keep them safe.
Building Healthy Communities
Drought. Poor air quality. Extreme heat. We are already feeling the effects of climate change. Unfortunately, our city leaders have done little to address this crisis. I have the experience it takes to improve our city and help neighborhoods be ready for climate change.
I will fight to ensure we invest in infrastructure to help make our environment healthier for all.
Keeping Our Neighborhoods Safe
Community Safety is my top priority. This means addressing root causes of crimes by ensuring that everyone is food secure, that everyone is housed, that mental health services are readily available, that there are youth and community spaces, and to end the violence against our local and abroad communities by Abolishing ICE and freeing Palestine.
I will fight to ensure we invest in community safety to proactively address root causes of crimes by providing resources to our community. I will continue to advocate to end state violence against our community.
